#31 Progress?

Hey All,

I hope you are all doing well!! As I mentioned last week I was at home in Southampton last week from the Tuesday night until the Sunday. I thought I would get some more stitching done but sadly not 😦 It’s also been absolutely manic at work this week so I’ve been coming in & crashing… that & tonight I’ve got an itchy throat!! Fingers crossed I can fight off any cold/flu that going around!

Enough of my negativity & on to the Cross Stitch 🙂 I have been stitching on two projects this week. The first is the ongoing Teddy Bear Sampler I’ve been stitching since the end of September. Just search ‘WIP’ under my categories to see my older posts on this one.

As you can see I have started on the border around the bear, its all slowly taking shape. I’m fortunate enough not to be in work this weekend & although I have plans on the Friday & Saturday night my days are free for stitching!!

The second project I’ve been working on is a Christmas Card I have started for a Christmas Card exchange I am taking part in on a Cross Stitch page on Facebook- ‘Cross Stitch friends in the UK’ Click here to join this friendly cross stitch community on Facebook… I’m off to a slow start but eventually it will be a gingerbread man pattern that I have taken from the most recent Cross Stitch Crazy issue 210.

Not much to see yet. I’m sure by next week you’ll be amazed at my progress ha! As you can see I have moved back to evenweave- I just love stitching on it! It’s such a nice change from aida.

I have also joined another exchange that I need to complete by the end of December which is a Christmas decoration exchange. I haven’t picked a pattern for that one yet. Anyone got any suggestions they can share for making a Christmas decoration?

You can see the only ones I’ve made before by clicking on a previous post here. They were lovely & simple to make, but i fancy doing something a bit different this year. However, I am mindful of the sewing attached to some of the designs out there & sewing certainly isn’t my forte!

I hope you have all had a productive week 🙂 As always you are welcome to share what you are working on in the comments!

Love
