#8.0 Tonight on Netflix

It’s Friday night & what else would I be doing other than watching SOMETHING on Netflix. Tonight’s choice was the new Docuseries that made an appearance yesterday.

Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes.

Yesterday marks 30 years since Ted Bundy was executed for murder, kidnap & countless of crimes linked to approx. 30 young women in the 70s.

I thought I knew the basics about Ted Bundy, but oh I was wrong! I’d like to think that I’m fairly clued up on the top serial killers in the world as I have a HEALTHY obsession with anything relating to serial killers, crime & Prison.

Disclaimer: don’t actually ask me to tell you about any because I can never remember names, places etc. It would be embarrassing . 😂

I love listening to true crime podcasts, reading fictional books with horrendous crimes & watching the odd documentary on Netflix. But like I say, I didn’t realise how little attention I’d given TB.

Now of course from watching this Netflix Docuseries that’s what he bloody wanted. The man wasn’t well to say the least & thrives on the attention he got from the media.

What creeps me out is that on the outside he looked like your normal man next door. A support worker & churchgoer with a good sense of humour. I think that’s why everyone was so fascinated with him.

After watching the series this evening I feel thoroughly educated & without a doubt I’ll be looking everyone up & down twice tomorrow to make sure they aren’t secretly a killer.

I can’t help but imagine being that guys mum? She seemed to genuinely support him right up until the end. Surely you would know that you’ve spawned evil!? Anyway, I do feel sorry for his family that have to live the rest of their lives knowing what he’s done & the people he’s hurt.

I would highly recommend this series if you’re a fan like me of true crime documentaries with a little bit of drama.

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Now I’m off to google TB a little bit more before bed! (Doesn’t everyone do that after watching/reading something really really good?!)

Have you got round to watching the series yet? Let me know what you thought! Also, if you have any other series you’d recommend like this then drop me a comment so I can add it to my watch list. Thanks!

#2.0 Getting back on it

Hi all! Happy Friday! I hope you’re all looking forward to a relaxing weekend!

This weekend I’ve got a few plans, afternoon tea tomorrow for a friends birthday & a hospital tour on Sunday morning. Tonight I’m home alone for a few hours.

Without any hesitation my plan for tonight was to binge Netflix & possibly get my xstitch on.

Firstly, to select my viewing. For a change I loaded amazon prime & spotted that Bones is available to watch!! I’ve always wanted to watch it so I’m pretty pleased with that.

So my Friday night has so far been taken up watching 4-5 episodes of Bones. I quite like the main characters & I’m enjoying reminiscing about my teenage crush on David Boreanaz. *swoon*

Ive also been able to muster some energy to pick up some cross stitching again! (Yay) it’s probably been about a year since I’ve done some solid stitching so feeling pretty smug. I took a picture to show off & realised it looks like I’ve barely done anything! 😳

What do you think I’m stitching at the moment? This is approx 5 hours in. Post in the comments what you’re guessing this is?

I can tell it’s been a while since I’ve stitched because my hands are stiff & my progress slow! (That & I already have fat preggo hands)

UPDATED: What I want to get done this weekend 💪🏻

  • Progress with my one & only active cross stitch project
  • Read more of my book (Times of Convert by Deborah Harkness) I’m currently on page 245. Ideally I want to reach pg350 by Sunday night
  • Attend afternoon tea (Saturday)
  • Attend hospital tour (Sunday)
  • Get my nails done (Sunday)
  • Reading & practice more of my hypnobirthing book
  • Unpack at least one more box (Front room or bedroom- I’m not picky!)
  • Fit some rest in there somewhere?!

That’s probably more than enough for a 2 day weekend. That & I tire so much more easily at the moment.

What do you want to achieve this weekend? Are you a stitcher, if so, what are you working on at the moment?

I hope you all have a happy & productive weekend.

Thanks for reading. Kim xx

#28 Happy Friday folks!

I’m so excited that it’s Friday night! There’s nothing like two days off with the only plan being to drink wine, watch Netflix & Stitch 😀
