#17 Patchwork Snowman

Hello again!

Now that I have the blog bug I just can’t stop & want to update you all on what I have been doing 🙂

This morning I finished my second Christmas card of the year. When I started this one off, I really wasn’t keen on it. Originally when i picked this design Friday night it was because my friend Josie was coming to stay for the weekend. I obviously couldn’t stitch the baby chart I’ve started in front of her, as i want it to be a surprise! So, I picked a small weekend project to work on while she was here. It also doesn’t hurt to get another finished project under my belt. There’s nothing like finishing a project to spur you on..

I don’t know if this is the same for everyone else but part of the fun of starting a new project is gathering up the threads & fabric to use. Even with the colours all together I wasn’t sure… but here it is anyway.

This one, I have named ‘Patchwork Snowman’ is from a free chart book that came with an issue of Cross Stitch Crazy. Unfortunately i cannot find the issue number. I think i bought this chart book via eBay as I know how good the free chart books usually are from Cross stitch crazy. I have however taken a picture of the Chartbook for you to see. If any of you happen to know the issue number, then please let me know so i can update this 🙂

So after 2-3 days of on & off stitching here’s a shot of the work I have done. Again I decided to complete this on 28 count Evenweave, as I enjoyed it so much last time. I’m not yet brave enough to do a full project on Evenweave… that will come in January 🙂

The more I stitched the above project, the more I enjoyed the colours & pattern of it all. Its certainly something different 🙂 Again, closer to the time I will be mounting this onto a card to make up a christmas card to give out christmas!

Anyone completing any festive stitching yet? or is it too early…

    1. Aw thank you 🙂
I really wasn’t sure when I started him but I am happy with the final outcome. What are you working on instead of Xmas cards this year?
